Voting with our Feet, Liberals Moving to Red States!

Asheville is a beautiful and quaint little city located in the mountains of Western North Carolina.   As with other cities located in the Sun Belt, Asheville is very quickly growing in population due to the influx of people leaving the North East and other Blue States.   Many communities here have more residents originating from the New York and New Jersey tri-state area than there are local North Carolinians.

Blue States like New Jersey are experiencing a mass exodus of residents due to the rise in crime, higher taxes, excessive regulations and general cost of living increases.   According to Forbes Homes the States which are losing population the fastest are California, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts.

Consequently, many popular southern cities are fast growing and becoming more Liberal-Blue as more and more people move from the North to the South, especially among retirees.   Liberal culture is also much more present in these newly evolving cities as new breweries and restaurants have been thriving and increasing in number in recent years.

Some argue that the great experiment in which the correct form of government is already happening, as many Liberal-Blue cities are losing population to Conservative-Red States including Texas, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Nevada.   People are voting with their feet and taking their wallet’s with them.
