Talk Radio Ratings War and its Progressive Stars…

Sean Hannity on the Radio.

The always controversial king of conservative radio, Rush Limbaugh may be gone but his legacy lives on as Talk Radio has become a Multi-Billion dollar business.   The reigning heir to his throne is now Sean Hannity.   Sean is currently earning more than $20 million per year from his Radio show alone.

The Liberal side of talk radio is dominated by Thom Hartman, Randi Rhodes, David Pakman and Stephanie Miller. While these hosts may not be household names to most Americans they have a rabid liberal following on Free Speech TV (FSTV) and many Radio Stations across America.

Thom Hartmann on Real Time with Bill Maher

Thom Hartman is the #1 progressive voice on the Radio with a 6 to 7 Million weekly audience.   Thom holds the weekly 12:00 to 3:00pm time slot competing against “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” (the old Rush Limbaugh time slot) which has a weekly audience of approximately 9.5 Million listeners.

Thom has a professorial demeanor and can repeat a set of liberal talking points with the best of the Main Stream Media. Thom, like most liberals is a staunch anti-Trump liberal and Democratic supporter who can be patient with his more liberal Call-In guests whom he agrees with and very confrontational with his conservative callers.

Randi Rhodes on C-SPAN

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Randi Rhodes is the Bombastic and always Entertaining liberal voice of Progressive talk radio. Randi has been in radio since the 1980’s. Like Thom Hartmann, Randi was part of the failed “Air America” radio program, which was built to combat the very popular Rush Limbaugh Show and the growing Conservative Radio voice. Randi served 2 years in the U.S. Airforce as a Mechanic before starting her Radio career.

David Pakman with Joe Rogan

David Pakman is a sharp witted and very comical voice of liberal talk radio. David is a skilled radio host and even though he suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) at times he is still a pleasure to listen to with his dry wit and criticism of almost any Fox News Video Clip. Born in Argentina, David moved to Massachusetts at the age of 5. Working in Radio initially as a Hobby, David’s radio presence grew to over 100 stations by 2011 according to his Wikipedia page.

Stephanie Miller on Larry King Live

The Stephanie Miller Show is produced in Los Angeles California and can also be watched every morning on FSTV. Stephanie Miller was born in Washington, D.C., the daughter of former Republican U.S. Representative William E. Miller.   Early on Stephanie had a few acting jobs including playing a Nurse on General Hospital daytime TV.   Stephanie mainly worked as a Stand Up Comic in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles before getting into radio.   Stephanie has said  “I always say radio was an accident until they started paying me a lot of money and then it wasn’t an accident anymore.”

Talkers.com Radio Host Ratings for 2022

While still losing the weekly ratings war with most top Conservative Radio Shows (ie., Sean Hannity & Company).   Progressive-Liberal radio is well represented by these often comical, very skilled radio presenters and their most ardent supporters.
