I have a friend from New Zealand. A man who clearly lived an exciting and sometimes controversial life. His first name is Patrick and he has given me a few nuggets to live by, especially when it pertains to business and dealing with people.
1) Don’t look back, keep your eyes looking forward.
2) Everyone has problems and struggles in life.
3) Don’t give people more than 3 choices (if you give a person too many options they freeze up and then they can’t decide).
4) When negotiating, just ask the other person/party a simple question “What do you want?”
5) In legal matters, written Documentation of emails, correspondence and time lines are needed.
