Thou Doth Protest too much

There are some things in life that need no explanation. One of those things is when we feel we are being “Sold Something”, or more specifically being “Over Sold Something”. I remember the first time I watched on TV as a group of Older White Men sitting patiently at a round table, each taking a turn giving their best sales pitch on why it would be a catastrophe for Donald J. Trump to be elected President of the United States. Trump is nothing more than a Carnival Barker/Showman, only interested in Self Promotion, one man said. Politics at the presidential level is complicated. How can a self promoting businessman like Trump ever master or even understand the complexities of this office without any experience in public office, another sitting man quipped.

Greedy Businessman and Politicians.

These men were obviously long retired captains of Industry, Government Bureaucrats and/or Ambassadors to some far away exotic places. The longer they went on elaborating their Anti-Trump rhetoric, ironically, the more I started thinking that maybe, just maybe Trump might be the answer to All the Broken promises of the career Politicians, Elites and Failed policies of our United States Government.

I must confess that I always liked the idea of someone who could come in and “Flip the Table Over”, Pull-Back-the-Curtain behind the Political Establishment and maybe actually do something that would be in the long term interests of our deteriorating Country. I thought we had a chance back in 1992 when a little eccentric businessman named Ross Perot ran for President against George Bush and Bill Clinton. Well, that didn’t turn out well when Perot dropped in and out of the race but to the surprise of the political pundits Perot still got over 18% of the vote. I think there has been a mostly silent majority that is so sick and tired of political misleading statements, outright lies and/or corruption of the Professional Politicians and Elites that run our country.

Before and during President Trump’s term in office we heard almost non-stop criticism of his past and present activities. Trump is a Russian spy via the Clinton initiated Steele Dossier. Trump and his cronies are all incompetent and corrupt. Trump is a horrible, racist, womanizing pervert and best friends with the now deceased Jeffery Epstein. Just listen to him, Trump the Orange man lies every time he opens his mouth. If you don’t believe me just Youtube clips of the pundits on CNN and other networks when Trump was in office. Constant barrage, I don’t think anyone but Trump could have withstood it.

Draining the Political Swamp is going to more difficult than we thought.

Over time it also appeared that those criticizing Trump where the ones actually guilty of the things they accused Trump of. Hunter Biden’s payouts from China, Russia and the Ukraine. Hillary Clinton destroying the 35,000 or so government emails. Facebook’s Zuckerberg ‘donating’ over 400 million dollars to “non-profit” organizations which have been shown to have influenced the 2020 election in addition to almost non stop negative coverage from most of the main stream media.

Jesus Flipping over the Merchant’s Table at the Temple

It’s time to Flip over the Proverbial Political Table just as Jesus did over 2,000 years ago. As recorded in the Gospel of Matthew Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there and he overturned the tables of the money changers. He said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer but you are making it ‘a Den of Thieves.’” Although an imperfect vessel, Donald J. Trump may be the last chance the people of United States have of first exposing and finally fixing the many legitimate problems we have in this country.

      I think Trump was great but if he were re-elected I think it would cause to much turmoil again and focus would again be about getting rid of Trump instead of trying to fix our country. Democrats will fight Republicans no matter who would be elected (and we can only pray it’s a Republican), but I think Trump would be worse. He needs to step aside for the good of our country and let others run namely Ron Desantis.
